The tool is in usage at Boehringer Ingelheim since 2005 and supports successfully data migration projects. It was a pleasure for me to contribute to the migration-center development from the very beginning. The set of functionalities included in the last version shows that fme is very interested in future development of the product.

We started using migration-center for importing small amounts of scanned archive data. Starting with a few hundred pdfs per batch, we managed to preserve knowledge and information from over 80 years of age. The big challenge came when we had to merge two repositories within a very small timeframe. Well, with a little help from our friends, it worked... In the end, it took us four weeks to have just one repository instead of two. It was an awful lot of work, but migration-center did its job fine. No worries about the technical side.

I have implemented migration-center for numerous clients that have complex information architectures and millions of documents. It has been an essential tool for our project team. By providing capabilities to export, transform the source data and import into Documentum applications by configuration have saving our clients time and avoided the pain of developing and testing a one and done point solution.

We are very pleased with the functionality and the performance of the migration-center. We have already used it successfully in several projects with quite diverse requirements. For us it has become an important tool to correctly classify large volumes of documents, to enrich them with additional metadata and to move them subsequently into the desired target repository.

The Migration Center is an easy to use tool to support any migration from filesystem to any docbase or from any docbase to any docbase. It allows the validation of migrated objects and the mapping of attributes with sophisticated rules during a migration. BI uses Migration Center since Version 1.0 for several productive migrations in the GxP regulated environment with amounts from 1000 documents to 130.000 documents. We experienced the tool as a user-friendly and full-grown system in version 3.
